AQUA PAZZA
Aqua Pazza is an Italian dish based on four basic ingredients: tomatoes, basil, wine and fish. Chef Stephanie Hage adds to it our WATA Brut.
Loquat bellini
Fresh from the tree, loquat (or what we call akedene in Lebanon) is sweet and bursting with juice and flavor.
Wata negroni
In 1972 Milan, Bartender Mirko Stocchetto mistakenly used sparkling wine instead of gin to make a Negroni. This is our twist on this Italian classic.
Loukoum aperitif
Loukoum, or what we call ‘raha’ in Beirut, is a confection made of starch and sugar usually found in two traditional flavours, rose and mastic.
Creamy apple cider chicken
This heavenly dish celebrates both the sweetness and acidity of apples.

WATA DOUX WINS SILVER AT THE 2023 JAPAN CIDER CUP
WATA Doux wins silver in Japan cider cup; the country’s premier people’s choice awards tasting competition and international cider event. 102 ciders were scored across three independent rounds of judging by members of the general public in Japan, food and drink professionals and a handful of notable guest cider experts invited from across the globe.
WATA in Executive Magazine
The Bulletin’s headline reads: “Lebanon is Internationally renowned for its wine… today for its cider as well!” The magazine highlights our three international wins during Sagardoaen Lurraldea International Cider competition in Spain in November 2021 where 70 ciders from around the world participated. Our Brut, Dry and Original ciders won Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively that year.

WATA Joins the World’s Best Ciders
Proud to see Lebanon featured for the first time in the global scene of cidermaking. We thank sommeliers Yanna Deliere and Virginie Thomas for the invaluable support for cidermakers around the world and for putting together this rich compilation in the Journal du Sommelier; and Jack Zgheib for creating “Glory from ashes”, a WATA cocktail dedicated to Beirut.
WATA Original and WATA Brut Win Silver and Bronze at the New York International Cider Competition 2022
WATA wins two medals at the International New York Cider competition! 300 ciders from around the world were judged by top sommeliers and cider makers in the United States. The wealth of our terroir, the passion of our team and an “incontournable” Lebanese spirit won the heart of the big apple!
WATA Goes to Paris
We’re excited to be working with Terroirs Insolites to bring our ciders to shops, delicatessens, cafes, bars and restaurants in Paris!

WATA Dry and WATA Original Win Silver and Bronze at the World Cider Awards 2023
WATA wins two medals at one of the most acclaimed cider competitions – The World Cider Awards: a bronze for Taste and Silver for Best Bottle Design! The global awards select the very best in all internationally recognized styles, award and promote the world’s best ciders to consumers and trade across the globe. This year, more than 30 countries and 100 cider brands participated.
WATA Now in London
We’ve settled in a new city! This time in the land of ciders, alongside some of the best ciders in the world in Partridges of Sloane Square on Gloucester Road and on the website of Lebanese Fine Foods & Wines in London.
WATA Light Berries Wins the Agrifood Innovation Award in Lebanon 2024
QOOT Cluster hosted the second edition of its Innovation Award, setting the stage for the recognition and support of the agri-food sector in Lebanon. WATA won in the alcoholic beverages category.
WATA Brut and Wata Dry Win Bronze in the IWSC 2024
Another achievement we are extremely proud of! The judges’ notes: “Ripe fruit with mango and citrus notes. Intense fruit flavors with candied finish” for the WATA Brut 2021, and “Delicate white fruit with green, herbal undertones. A fresh and soft style,” for WATA Dry.

We’ve been featured in 2 of the UK’s biggest premium drinks platforms: The Buyer headline reads, “How WATA cider is helping put Lebanon on map for premium cider” and The Wine Merchant features WATA Brut 2022 in its Tried and Tested selection.
WATA Brut 2022 Wins Gold at the World Cider Awards 2024
Against all odds and despite everything that’s been happening, Lebanon still gets to shine abroad with a gold medal at the World Cider Awards.
