The Story
of wata!
Family, heritage and provenance are at the core of WATA’s story. We are standing on the shoulders of giants: farmers and visionaries who are well-rooted in this area of Lebanon, but who have traveled the world in search of wisdom and love of life. Following in their footsteps, we keep discovering our roots.

A WAY OF LIFE
WATA is a way of life. We don’t separate how we see our life from the way we pick our apples and share their bounties. We made sure to craft ciders that can be part of any facet, mood and occasion of our lives.

OUR COMMUNITY
Community is everything. From the hands that join us in picking the apples at every harvest, to the bars and coffee shops that serve our ciders to the seasoned or curious cider-drinkers – transmitting the knowledge and sharing the fruits of our labor is what this is all about.
Follow our journey
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our grandfather. Fearless, big-hearted, a true bon vivant, Naoum Khalife.
He left the city in search of freedom and found it in Wata el Jawz. There, among apple trees and open skies, he built a home where children could run wild, stay curious, and grow into themselves.
He believed freedom lived in nature, in simplicity, and in the courage to remain authentic.
But his freedom was never solitary. It was shared. Around a glass of arak, he brought people together, family, friends, neighbors, for laughter, stories, and long days that turned into unforgettable nights. Wata became more than a home; it became a place of gathering, where doors were always open and joy was meant to be shared.
Over the years, the orchard grew into a refuge for his children, his grandchildren, and generations to come. His spirit lives on in every apple we harvest, every season we honor, and in everything we continue to build at WATA, rooted in togetherness, freedom, and life well lived.
This land was his gift to us. WATA is our promise to him.
Until we meet again Jeddo.
With all my love,
Soha
